London: Peter Gissop Co., c 1995. Hardcover. An album showing silk swatches for specific clubs, each individually labeled by Military Regiment (Oxford Hussars, Highlanders, Lothians, 5th Lancers etc.), Indian Army, Oxford Clubs, Cambridge and other Universities, Old Boys.
1000 neckwear swatches in a two-screw binding album, covered in green cloth and gold stamped title. On the blank inner front cover is the company name Peter Gissop Silks. Under each of the swatches is a number and title of the organization that wore them. The additional 48 swatches are a mix of historic clubs, college units complete with their names and the year that they were wearing this pattern.
Peter Gissop Silks was formed in 1995 by Lord Peter Parkland and stopped operation in 2001. Gissop specialized in school, club and regimental colors; this book has authentic patterns.
