This volume features the entire collection of textiles held in the Textil- und Kunstgewerbesammlung, Germany and is published to coincide with the institution's 100th anniversary. The collection is one of the largest in Europe textiles (185 textile samples are assembled here) and was acquired during the 1920s as material for study and inspiration in local industry. It comprises primarily decorative and upholstery fabrics, as well as original works by Bauhaus artists alongside many other important manufacturers, factories and designers of the period.
