The Man with the Golden Gun is the twelfth and final James Bond novel by Ian Fleming, published posthumously in 1965. The story follows a brainwashed James Bond, who has been programmed to assassinate M, but is deprogrammed and sent to Jamaica to kill the assassin Francisco Scaramanga, who uses a golden-plated pistol.
Plot: After being presumed dead, Bond returns to London with amnesia and attempts to kill M. After being deprogrammed, he is sent to Jamaica to eliminate Scaramanga, a KGB-trained assassin who has killed other British agents. Bond infiltrates Scaramanga's organization, which is involved in drug smuggling and arson, and must ultimately face him in a duel.
