Diamonds Are Forever is the fourth James Bond novel by Ian Fleming, published in 1956. The story follows Bond as he infiltrates a diamond-smuggling ring from Sierra Leone to Las Vegas, which is run by the Spangled Mob. He falls for a member of the gang, Tiffany Case, and must work to dismantle the operation run by brothers Jack and Seraffimo Spang.

Plot: Bond goes undercover as a smuggler to investigate a pipeline that moves diamonds from African mines to the United States. He meets and falls in love with Tiffany Case, a courier for the ring.

Villains: The main antagonists are the Spangled Mob, a ruthless American gang led by brothers Jack and Seraffimo Spang. Other key characters include the assassins Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd.

Inspiration: Fleming was inspired by a Sunday Times article on diamond smuggling and later used his research for the non-fiction book The Diamond Smugglers.
