Let's Forget Business, will delight any bookworm interested in food, food history, retail, the history of Fortnum and Mason or the development of advertising. Written by H Stuart Menzies in 1930 and published by Black the book promotes and explains Fortnum and Mason's food products, mingled with a bit of history and colourfully illustrated by W.M. Hendy. The text aims to be humorous and is not politically correct for our times.

Hugh Stuart Menzies established the Stuart Advertising Agency and worked with many famous artists such as Edward Bawden and Barbara Hepworth. Interestingly, initially, he worked for Fortnum and Mason running the Invalid Food Delicacies Department. This experience must have been very useful when he wrote the Commentaries. W.M Hendy was an illustrator for Punch.
