Town & Country editor and lensman Jerome Zerbe was also the court photographer of El Morocco, the legendary club that took New York by storm in the 1930s. In fact, Zerbe’s iconic photographs were an essential ingredient to the club’s success. Film stars, debutantes, and anyone of note all made a pilgrimage there in order to be photographed by him in the club’s famous zebra-patterned banquettes. This, Zerbe’s first book, is a collection of his best work, depicting society in the 1930s. It is of high quality, with b&w photogravure plates.
