Deeda Blair admired as a meticulous style icon for six decades, Mrs William McCormick Blair (b. 1931) is particularly known as a valiant science and medicine philanthropist, one of the foremost in America, whose fundraising has helped many important causes. Close to JFK who appointed her husband Ambassador to Denmark in 1961, the Blairs were a fixture on Washington and New York social scenes with friends of all ‘plumages’ including Andy Warhol, Cecil Beaton, and many friends in the fashion world such as Bill Blass, Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé but particularly Hubert de Givenchy with whom she shared a special friendship.
John Loring, (1939-2026), was design director emeritus of Tiffany & Co., where he was design director from 1979 to 2009. He is the author of numerous books about Tiffany's and art in general and a longtime contributor to Architectural Digest.
