Following an Introduction by Diana Vreeland, former Editor-in-Chief at Vogue magazine, which discusses the women it portrayed on its covers & in its contents within the context of their historical era, offered are 17 stunning full-page, full-color reproductions of Vogue magazine covers, 1911-1927.

This collection portrays the era of fashion and design of the early 20th century society. The feminine drapery and feathers of the 1910's, the bangles and beads of the Jazz Age rendered by the artists of Vogue. Although commercial art was dominated by men, sixteen of these twenty-four covers were created by women artists such as Helen Dryden and Sarah Stilwell Weber.
