He later was a world class sportsmen including being an 8 goal polo player with Meadow Brook Polo Club Long Island NY. His knowledge of all animals from Horses to Dogs and other wildlife gave him the ability to sculpt them as we see them, perfectly depicted. He did heroic size sculptures that remain in Public Spaces such as the large frieze above the Manhattan Bridge in NYC as well as the famous Smithtown Bull in Smithtown Long Island.
