The original 376 pp publication of the ultra-scarce architectural rarity:

'Catalogue of The East Side of New York Apartment Plans'

This being the 2nd c.1935 'new' edition originated by Pease & Elliman,

(now named Douglas-Elliman) the 1st edition of which was published

twelve years earlier in 1923.

This edition is by far the most elaborate book of its kind and shows the typical floor plans of 320 East Side apartment houses.

There is both a geographical index as well as one giving the number of rooms in each apartment shown in descending room size order:

Also present are wonderful period advertisements for merchants & vendors to the trade

This classic publication has since been handsomely rebound in stately navy cloth boards with gilt title stamping at head of spine.

Thus a most unique, privately-printed rare book acquisition for the residential architecture library.
