Elsie de Wolfe was known as a consummate hostess at her Paris apartment, and her advice includes recipes, menus, guest hand-holding, and table decor. Some of the recipes herein include grilled lobster in American sauce, Alsatian soup, smoked beef tongue in Cumberland sauce, kidneys Ali-Bab, hot sausage chapon fin, etc.
