This elegant book on etiquette was written with upper class young men in mind, but its principles translate well across the spectrum. Though some of the specific situations it refers to have changed since the 1930s, the gist has not. The book correctly states that the prime directive of etiquette is to make others feel comfortable. All else is secondary. This copy is in excellent condition, with lovely interior illustrations. It would look great on a writing desk or nightstand.

“Using good manners is like putting money out at interest—you get back more than you put in.”
