FIRST EDITON and RARE LIMITED EDITION, sumptuously illustrated with over 150 folio color photographic plates of fashion designs.

Printed in Kyoto, Japan in conjunction with the "Inventive Clothes" exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto. (The exhibition was originally held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.) With essay "Fashion is the Avant Garde of Circumstance" by Diana Vreeland, who was also the special consultant for the exhibition, and featuring the designs of some of the leading figures in fashion including Paul Poiret and Gabrielle Chanel.
