Text in French and English. Line Vautrin (1913- 1997) was one of the most fascinating French jewellery designers of the 20th century. She worked with gilt bronze almost exclusively, first producing objects briefly for Schiaparelli, then with her shop on the Rue de Berri, then later, in the 1950's with her atelier in the Marais. This catalog is a single owner collection and represents the broad range of Line Vautrin's work which encompassed many different kinds of metal objects: from door handles to earrings. 211 lots in the sale. All illustrated in color.
