Adjacent to the Saratoga Race Course is the somewhat secretive private club. It was founded in the 1930s as a place for men to read the dailies before the races. There are rooms for members to stay in over night during the race meet - F. Ambrose Clark was a member and would stay here on occasion as opposed to driving all the way back to Cooperstown, NY.
