The book follows the child's history to about five; we think of a veteran's family sitting down to catch up after the war. Gift condition. Tony Sarg was born in Guatemala to German and English parents in 1882 and died in New York in 1942. He avoided a military career to work in advertising in London (the Lyons lion), moved to magazines, studied puppetry, and, when the war broke out, moved to the United States where he established the Tony Sarg Company and created marionette shows greatly popular in the twenties. His picture books with comical characters, his animated films, and his famous Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons for Macy's made him a well known figure.
