In 2000, Sotheby's conducted a house contents sale at Benacre Hall in Suffolk, a sale which raised a total of over £8 million. The sale offered numerous items from the residence, such as a 1750s Irish side table from the Luttrellstown Castle collection, an example of a George II style console table, and other examples of porcelain and furniture.

Benacre Hall is a Grade II listed country house and estate in Benacre, Suffolk. The current house is high Georgian, with Palladian geometric influence and figures externally roughly as it stood on its building, in 1764. It is the seat of the Gooch baronets.
