The Sailfish Club was founded Feb. 28, 1914, when a group of local men decided to organize a club to bring together the town’s fishing and boating enthusiasts. It's the oldest club on the island, predating the opening of the Everglades Club by roughly five years.
In Palm Beach, the Donahues were members of the Everglades Club, the Bath and Tennis Club and the Sailfish Club.
