A biography of Reginald John "Rex" Whistler, a British artist, who painted murals and society portraits, and designed theatrical costumes. Being a record of his life until his death during the Second World War, Whistler was killed in action in Normandy. Written by his brother, Sir Alan Charles Laurence Whistler, a British glass engraver and poet. He was both the first President of the British Guild of Glass Engravers and the first recipient of the King's Gold Medal for Poetry.
