Edward Sands Litchfield was a wealthy and avid collector of sporting books and had a special interest in angling books. This catalogue of his library that went for auction at Sotheby's in 2001 has some emphasis on fly fishing and fly tying with some wonderful color plates of flies and fly-tying materials. The library was by no means limited to angling. There is much on natural history, American Indians, hunting, birds, etc. The catalogue is lavishly illustrated and has brief descriptions of the books and their estimated prices.
