A rare, original member's blazer badge of the Newport High Society "Spouting Rock Beach Association".

This is an elite organization comprised of approximately 500 members which included names such as the Vanderbilts, Astors and for the most part, new members are added only when old ones die.

Their property is also known as "Bailey's Beach" (officially named as and owned by the Spouting Rock Beach Association) is a private beach and club in Newport, Rhode Island.

Newport's Gilded Age upper-class families adopted Bailey's Beach as their exclusive playground.

Bailey's Beach became the ultimate test of one's acceptance into Newport society.

It was a favorite place of Jackie Kennedy and the President when they stayed at her family's Auchincloss estate.
