Two engravings frontis plus twenty exceptionally handsome engravings in text of scenes and animals in India after William Daniell. . The Oriental Annual is the second of a planned three volume set containing descriptions of the three English Presidencies in India. The first covered Madras, this volume describes Calcutta. Ultimately seven volumes by the author with illustrations by Daniell were published. Dedicated to the then-Princess Victoria and her mother, the Duchess of Kent.
