The Way of The World is a play centred on two lovers Mirabell and Millamant. In order for them to marry and receive the full dowry they must have the approval of Millamant's aunt, Lady Wishfort. Howwever, Lady Wishfort wishes her own nephew, Sir Willfull to marry Millamant. Love for Love is a comical farce which is enlivened by its witty characters and dialogue. William Congreve was an English writer and poet. His plays were very well received and he is seen as the man who shaped the English comedy of manners through his use of satire and well written dialogue.
